I got some devastating news a few days ago. One of my dear friends of 27 years (literally since kindergarten) called and told me he had been diagnosed with MS. This is tragic in and of itself, but for him, the reason it is so painful and horrible is because he watched his mother go from healthy to wheelchair bound over the last 20 years due to MS. To top it off, last year his sister was also diagnosed.
 
He is understandably upset and it appears that his MS is in advanced stages, apparently he has been falling this past week, losing bowel control, and is too weak to even raise his arms to do his hair or shower. An MRI revealed around a hundred brain lesions. The doctor says they resemble flower petals laying on top of one another and that he's never seen anything like it. He was told it is possible that he will be in a wheelchair in 2-5 years.
 
My friend's name is David and he is unsaved, bipolar, rather angry with God and the world, gay, an alcoholic and substance abuser. Prayer is the best and only thing I can do for him at the moment. He kept crying on the phone today and just kept saying he wished I was there. It is breaking my heart not to be there, because of course, my first instinct is to go and take care of him (spiritually, emotionally, and physically). Please cover him in prayer. Thank you all!
